The Hampton Elementary PTA offers a variety of great events and programs that enrich the school’s educational environment and bring together our community. We encourage you to check out the programs and volunteer opportunities below and consider how you can help. Join a committee, or head up one! Commit to an ongoing program, or pitch in during an annual event. Whether you have just a little time or a lot, every bit helps make our school the best it can be. Involved families are critical to maintaining and enhancing the excellent education that we want and expect for our children. Position Description
Art Helper Assist Mrs. Towner in the Art Room (as needed and based on your availability).
Baking Provide baked goods for American Education Week (November) and Teacher Appreciation Week (May). You will be contacted as the need arises.
Cafeteria Volunteer Help supervise and assist children during lunch time. Commitment is based on your availability.
Career Day (Date: TBD Winter 2020) Present a description of your occupation, day–to-day responsibilities, work environment, training and education requirements. School Counselor, Mrs. Dyer, will contact you.
Fall Book Fair (Dates: October 21-25, 2019)/Spring Book Fair (Dates: Spring 2020) Help children find appropriate books and complete transactions. Chairpersons JoAnn Zipin and Alexandra Rusen will contact you to arrange your volunteer time.
Fall Festival (Date: October 25, 2019) There are many ways to help with this family friendly evening. Chairpersons Denise Kulikovsky and Melanie Mossman will contact you with opportunities.
Family Reading Night (Date: March 2019) Janelle Wahlstrom will contact you for help with this fun and educational event.
Finer Diner (Monthly) Help with setup and cleanup for this fun, monthly reward lunch. Chairperson Michelle Damareck will contact you with more details.
General Volunteer Help with other events, programs, and PTA committees. As needed, based on your availability.
Green Celebration (Date: Spring 2020) There are many ways to help with this wonderful day. Jessie Jaeger will contact you with details.
Hampton’s Got Talent: HES Talent Show (Date: Spring 2020) Help plan, staff, coordinate, and host Hampton’s third annual talent show in Spring 2020. Chairperson Jennifer Miller will contact you with details.
Hospitality/Teacher Appreciation Week Staff school functions. Chairpersons Amy Harrison and Emily Schultz will contact you as needed throughout the year. Michelle Roark will contact you regarding Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
Joy of Reading (Weekly) Read to a small group of children (2-3) during their lunchtime. Commitment is one day a week for thirty minutes for the school year. Chairperson Michelle Damareck will contact you.
Library Assist the school librarian with book check–in/out, shelving and other duties. The librarian will contact you with schedule based on your availability.
Wellness Committee There are many ways to help with Family Fit Night and other Wellness programming. The Wellness Committee will contact you with opportunities.
Yearbook Assist with the capturing of photos of student life and events throughout the school year. Picture submission deadline is April 2020. Chairpersons Sandy Ratliff and Sam VanWagner will contact you to assign events.
